Cetrix Awarded 4 Year Framework Contract for London Schools

Cetrix is among 7 industry leaders and major distributors selected to supply tablet computers to schools in Greater London

St. Julian’s, Malta; 8 December 2014: Cetrix Limited, a leading European mobile device manufacturer, is awarded a four-year framework contract to supply tablet computers to schools in Greater London area. In September, London Borough of Lewisham launched a tender for suppliers to provide educational ICT solutions and specialist ICT goods and services to schools, councils and academies. The tender consisted of Lots, covering the full range of ICT goods, services and solutions operated by educational institutions including design, specify, supply, integrate, implement and test, training, support and maintenance. The scope of this tender later expanded beyond Lewisham borough to cover all schools in the Greater London area.

Cetrix, as manufacturer of high quality, affordable mobile devices participated in this tender as a specialist provider of tablet computer devices and accessories. Cetrix was among the seven manufacturers and major distributors selected to supply goods and services in this category. Cetrix’s quality, customizability, variety of models and configurations, and affordability were decisive factors that lead to its selection for this award. 

Cetrix has introduced a new line of educational tablet PCs at the beginning of 2014. Offering both Android and Windows based devices, its tablets for London schools includes the 9.7” Krista CM970Q Android tablet featuring Retina display, one of the best in the industry with 2048x1536 pixels resolution, a 7,600 mAh long life battery, and a 5 MP autofocus camera. All devices offered by Cetrix to schools in greater London are powered by a 1.6 or 1.8 GHz Quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, a hardened frame, an impact-resistant folding hybrid case for the tablet and a keyboard, and optional stylus pen. As part of its services for this contract, Cetrix provides several device customization options free of charge to all schools selecting its products, which will enable these schools to better manage and track their devices.
